Make sure you use the current medusa version |
|
Michael Twomey just told me that there is a problem with the Python Desktop Server and a version of medusa older than 0.53 - he has 0.52 installed in his system (Gentoo linux) and with this medusa version, the PyDS doesn't start. So if you have a preinstalled version of medusa running, please check that it is at least version 0.53! |

The latest beta includes all inbetween fixes (especially the namespace problems in the RSS feed, the dateparser stuff, and the reStructuredText stuff). Due to enhancements in the reStructuredText converter, the pyds.css file has changed. To let the Python Desktop Server install the new version, you have to remove your local copy at ~/.PyDS/www/static/pyds.css before you restart your Python Desktop Server. Please reapply any changes you made to your copy! One little change that might irritate you: the menu entry Events is now back to the main menu and Externals is down in the sidebar. |

Funny. Found another weblog tool in Python today, Kaa. It's really cool to see how his project and mine address the same problems but come up with quite different solutions, even though we both use Python as a language (Textile vs. reStructuredText, Gadfly vs. Metakit, TK vs. Webinterface). |
