Threading vs. event driven asynchronous applications

Recently there was a short discussion between me and Bob Ippolito about wether the threading model of PyDS is the right way to do it. Since those discussions are allways great chances to get your thoughts straight, I thought I put some of my comments down in a more structured way here. Especially I try to say why some parts of PyDS are the way they are.

New Beta 0.6.4: just small bugfixes

Only two quite small bugfixes in this one: there was a problem with pathprefix and the ThemeTool and Garth did send in a patch to fully hook up the StoryTool to his MeshTool and fixed some other small things related to stray link resolving. This is a preparation-for-0.7.0 release, just to get open bugs out of the queue to be ready for the next step. 0.7.0 will include several inner reworkings, so it might take some time to stabilize.
